Its a nice walking or easy hiking route for everyone. Its close enough to city center and easily reached by moped or car.

The local government's effort regarding this mountain is just superficial. The running experience might be joyful, but if you look closely and carefully, the whole mountain is strewn with trash. Beer cans, water bottles, ever some old furniture can be found on the slopes. And the government call it a tourist attraction. Excuse me?

As a residents of the city, I love 十八尖山, a small hill that you can take hiking pace but will not end up with too much sweat. Elderies in the Hsinchu city enjoy their walk in the morning and go around a couple of times. You can plan a 1.5 hour here if you would like to chat and take a walk with your friends.

This is a beautiful walk through the garden areas of Hsinchu (Taiwan). There are nice plants as well as good views of Hsinchu.

We came during the Flower festival, so there was probably more going on than usual, but it was a lovely (long) walk. You can do the whole walk, or just a part - whatever you're feeling up to and there are plenty of smaller paths that veer away up/down to other small points of interest. There is a really cool bicycle track that is well-maintained and a short worthwhile hike away from the main path if it's something that you're interested in. Overall, a great experience, but you'll want to make sure that the weather is on your side because once you're there there isn't really anywhere to take shelter.
