善化寺五龙壁位于大同城内西南隅善化寺天王殿西侧，原为兴国寺山门前之照壁，建于明朝万历年间，1980年拆迁至善化寺内。五龙壁高7米，厚1．48米，共分上、中、下三个部分：下部为须弥座，座面雕有牛、马、蛇、兔、鹿、狗。狮、象、膜鳞、狡倪等十多种动物，姿态各异，栩栩如生；中部宽大壁面之上雕有五条四爪金龙，腾云驾雾，大有龙飞虎跃之势。正中一条金龙，为五龙壁之核心，龙头向前，龙尾摇摆，鳞光闪亮，别具风采。两侧各有二龙互相对称，中龙色泽稍淡，仿佛由天降下，正在兴云播雨。南北两侧游龙、龙身略呈卷曲，昂首挺胸，伺机腾飞上空；顶部为仿木构建筑形式，上有琉璃瓦覆盖，下有琉璃斗拱支撑，两端置有鸦吻垂脊兽。

大同文庙五龙壁始建于清代。原来的已经拆了，后来又按原址重新塑造。五龙壁单面雕刻，非常大，有二三十米长，整个图案非常漂亮，立体感很强，有很强的观赏性。龙是我们中国人的神物。这个五龙雕刻的相当精巧，有时间的话可以过来慢慢欣赏。

Its a good miniature of 9 dragon wall , in good condition in front of Shanhua temple.You should see this in your visit to Shanhua Temple.

The old screen I saw in Datong, because I had no time to see the other ones. It is in a quite good condition and a very nice place to take some pictures. I am glad, that I could stop there just for a quick look at the famous dragons.

Está ao lado da nova muralha de Datong... Aqui você pode observar que os dragões não são imperiais - apenas 4 garras em cada uma das patas -, mas se não quiser gastar seu dinheiro para ir até a parede dos nove dragões pode ser interessante.

南側の城壁の中心に永泰門（多分通行不可）がありますが、そのすぐ西側に善化寺があります。その入口の前に五龍壁が飾られています。寺の入口の手前なので、もちろん無料です。善化寺自体は５０元と高いですが普通の寺で、無料の五龍壁がお得と言えそうです。また善化寺前から城壁に２０元で上ることができます。

le site est en train d'etre rénové avec la construction à neuf de monuments....anciens !En soi le mur est très beau mais rien d'autre à voir à cet endroit là !

Non lo considererei neanche un'attrazione turistica, è comunque posizionato di fronte al tempio Shanhua e dunque è impossibile non vederlo.
