从市区穿过东关街。走到尽头就是东关古渡。面朝大运河，看着河两边灯光点缀的夜景，美翻了。扬州绿化很好，沿着河散步，看着时而飘过的游船，讲解这条河的历史，体验人文之美。

古渡没事么看的，有一块碑，旁边的东关街有点逛逛的，是一条不错的购物街，卖的都是扬州特色的玩意，很多地方都看不到的东西都 有，什么娃娃的虎头鞋，还有不少毛绒玩具小店。。。

从东关街一直向东走，来到大运河边上，就走了东关古渡。现在看起来，没有什么痕迹了，如果没有古渡的牌坊和说明，就是一条运河静静流。

正月十三上灯带娃去东关街。在皮包水吃饭，一路又吃了锅巴、臭豆腐等无数零食，最上当的是两根棒子的绞糖，流的娃身上衣服全是糖丝。人太多，走不动，走了一小段吓得回头了。在东关古渡广场玩了会，有好多放烟花的、孔明灯的，很有节日气氛。看到卖孔明灯的学生样小伙和警察起争执，有些同情。

上灯归来看我是歌手。今天的东关街简直要爆了，原来这条街在这种日子如此受欢迎。东关古渡的孔明灯急得城管到处抓卖孔明灯的人。赵四叠汤圆七点多就打烊了，宣布全部东西统统卖光请明天再来！太疯狂了。看着那满天十块一个的孔明灯感觉是一两百块人民币在飞！

在东关外，运河边。免费参观！以前是个渡口，运河上运来的货物从这里上下船。据说明牌介绍，渡口一直用到了上个世纪末。现在不是活的渡口了，一个牌坊立在河边，述说曾经的繁华。

Dongguan Historic Walking Street promotes itself as one of the 10 best historic walking streets in China, and this does not seem a completely outlandish claim. With its flagstone streets, rows of 100 year old Qing Dynasty shops and its reconstruction of the Sung Dynasty city wall, it offers an attractive and engaging escape from the concrete drabness of so much of modern Jiansgu. You should definitely come here- perhaps to try Yangzhou noodles or fried rice- if you are in town. It is easy to spend a pleasant hour or two here, looking in souvenir shops, eating local delicacies and perhaps visiting the Ge Garden, a famous bamboo garden located in the district.If you have been a long time in China, you will not be dazzled by this place. It is not as good as the old streets in Tunxi, Anhui or Suzhou, Jiangsu, but it is much better than the ubiquitous pre-fabricated 'old' streets you find in some modern Chinese cities.

This was an ancient wharf of the Grand Canal which is world heritage . The Dongguan Street is next to it. I visited there with my family last week. It seems more interesting at night. Traditional houses, nice view, many shops, even the noise caused by the wok in some restaurant sounds great. They are restaurants, but they are more like kitchen in the neighborhoods.

One of the top 10 ancient streets in China according to the information at the entrance. Worth a look some old buildings and some nice gardens. Very commercialised now with many tourist shops and I wonder if the ancients had to continually dodge motor scoters? Didn't see many other western tourists, seems to be visited by locals and other Chinese. Good coffee at the Coffee house. Yangzhou is a friendly city but appears to be off the beaten track.

Nice scenic view at night when all the lights light up along the river bank. A lot of people went for a jog, and exercise around that a area from morning till night.
