全国罕见的宏大古建筑群，气场尚在岱庙之上。景区可观之处甚多，移步换景。主殿峻极前的石台，如要附会，便是＂当日＂五岳剑派合并的比武之处。名望远不及少林寺，实质价值则远有过之，值得参观。

中岳庙前止步，一方面是实在太累，一方面去了佛教再去道观，有损拜佛诚意，还是打道回府吧！

登封嵩山脚下的中岳庙规模巨大，气势恢弘。其中的古木参天，老态中焕发出不可抑制的朝气。古柏虬龙蟠旋，清奇古怪，特别引人注目，特别是这颗。

We visited Zhongyue Temple on the way to Shaolin Temple. Zhongyue Temple is a very old Taoist temple (about 220 BC) located at the southern foot of Taishi Mountain. It is the largest and best preserved ancient architectural complex in the China's Five Great Mountains area. Zhongyue Temple, a World Heritage by UNESCO is a major scenic spot in Mount Songshan National Park. My friends & I truly enjoyed the visit especially strolling through the lovely courtyards and gardens which is full of millennial trees. One of the must-see especially if you are visiting the nearby Shaolin Temple.

We had some extra time in Dengfeng after visiting a Shaolin the day before, so we chose to see this temple. It is very interesting and there is quite a lot to see and learn about Taoism. Make sure not to miss out on the side corridors which a filled with very special statues. It was quite daunting at times. It's working temple so can also observe local people coming to pray. The entrance fee was cheap as well.
