定州开元寺塔，不同于我去过的所有古塔。它是最高的砖木结构古塔，而且楼梯也不是盘旋而上，是直径斜上的。塔里的小佛龛，陡峭的楼梯，壁画都让我惊叹

It is your average park with a large concrete area in front, some kite flying but the entrance is around the back. You need to pay to get in and there is a higher tourist fee (yeah they spotted me). There is a small museum about the tower up front, a buddhist shrine / prayer area, fortune teller, rock pillar and then the tower, which is narrow and steep but a fun climb to the top with lots of artwork to see.
