Der Zhenwu Miao ist eine jene Anlagen in Yuzhou, die zur Zei meines Besuches renoviert wurden, sodass die Qualität der Architektur in Zukunft schwer einzuschätzen ist. Der Tempel ist eine mittelgroße Anlage mit sehr schöner Haupthalle im Norden der Altstadt. Im Umkreis des Tempels liegen mit dem Caishen Miao, Lingyan Si, den schönsten Teilen der Stadtmauer und dem Yuhuang Ge weitere sehr interessante Besichtigungspunkte. Der Tempel gilt als Ming-zeitliches Beispiel, dürfte in seiner heutigen Substanz aber aus der Qing-Zeit stammen. Im Unterschied zu anderen Tempeln besteht dieser aus nur einem großen Hof, um den sich einige neue und einige authentische Gebäude und Pavillons gruppieren. Der Besuch wird dadurch relativ kurz ausfallen. Ob nach der Renovierung Eintritt verlangt werden wird, lässt sich derzeit nicht sagen.

Part of the town is well perserved. You can see the traditional Chinese houses. If you are on the way to Yuxian town, it is worth to stop by.

This traditional iron melting show is very popular and you shouldnt miss it if you are visiting the town of Nuanquan. We travelled by car and had a little difficulties to find the place as we were following the GPS directions which were wrong. ( But we werent alone, because there were also many cars with Beijng plate numbers that got lost and couldnt find it). I would recommend to place big signs for the tourists. The show starts at 7 pm an lasts about 50 mins. You will see the Iron melting show- that looks like fireworks - some few hundred years old tradition for which this town is famous. The ticket can be bought either from the ticket booth for 160 rmb or, if you get lucky, some people can be selling it in front of the entrance for 100 rmb.

We visited during National holidays but did not see many tourists. The entrance fee is 50 rmb per person. The ticket seller was so nice. She gave us the tour around the academy and West castle for free. Maybe because we were only foreigners that visited that day and we could speak Chinese.
